Congress has complained to the Election Commission against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's road show held in Bhopal on Wednesday.

If the amount spent in this program exceeds the election expenses as per rules, the BJP candidate should be banned from contesting the elections. And a case of violation of code of conduct should be registered against them and action should be taken.

One thousand hoardings put up in Lok Sabha constituency

On Wednesday 24 April 2024, a road show of BJP star campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi took place in Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency. About 1000 hoardings related to this program were put up in the entire Lok Sabha constituency. In which the photo of BJP candidate Alok Sharma is also included along with BJP star campaigner. Not only this, BJP candidate Alok Sharma himself was present in the vehicle the entire time during Prime Minister Modi's road show. Modi ji appealed to the voters to vote in favor of BJP candidate Alok Sharma.

Congress wrote in its complaint that a convoy of about 800 vehicles was involved in the Prime Minister's road show in Bhopal. Welcome programs were organized by setting up stages at around 300 places.

According to the rules, if the candidate is present with the star campaigner, half of the expenditure incurred in the program is to be added to the election expenses of the candidate. It is estimated that an amount of around Rs 5 crore will be spent on hoardings, vehicles, other arrangements, advertisements etc. in the road show.
