Loo alert in many districts of State

The Meteorological Centre has forecast loo in Jharkhand for four days from April 24. This will impact many districts of the state. An alert has been issued regarding this. The information was given by the Ranchi Meteorological Center on 23 April.

According to the Meteorological Center, there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature during the next 24 hours in the state. After this, it is likely to gradually increase by three to five degrees Celsius in the next four days.

According to the Centre, heat wave conditions may be seen at isolated places in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan districts on April 24 and 25.

On April 28, heat wave conditions can be seen at some places in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela Kharsawan, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur Godda, Sahibganj districts.

On April 27, heat wave may prevail at isolated places in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela Kharsawan, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, Godda and Sahibganj districts.

It has been advised to avoid going out in the sun between 12 noon and 3 pm and drink enough water. Further it has been asked to wear light, light-coloured, breathable cotton clothing and use protective glasses, umbrella/hat or slippers while going out in the sun. Also, avoid outdoor activities when the outside temperature is high. Be sure to keep water with you while travelling.
