Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the results of the Lok Sabha elections will be a surprise.
Baghel said this to reporters after the nomination rally of Congress candidate from Korba, Jyotsana Mahant.
“Despite all the efforts, the BJP and NDA alliance had failed to create any wave. The situation for them is not good,” said the Congress leader.
“Not only in Chhattisgarh but in the entire country the Congress will succeed and an INDIA group will form a government at the Centre,” he said.
Jyotsana Mahant is in direct contest with BJP’s incumbent Rajya Sabha member Saroj Pandey. Korba will go for polls on May 7.
