Kusum Kamani Auditorium was officially opened at Narbheram Hansraj English School on , in a ceremony graced by dignitaries and special guests.
Chanakya Chaudhury, Vice President (Corporate Services) of Tata Steel Ltd, had the honor of inaugurating the auditorium, named after Late Kusum Kamani, a renowned entrepreneur and social worker.
The innovative design of the auditorium, envisioned as a Floating Auditorium, offers increased outdoor activity areas along with a 1000-seater capacity, with a total built-up area of 36500 sqft.
Constructed primarily with steel elements, totaling 550 tons, the building stands as a testament to sustainability, utilizing AAC blocks for infill partitions, recycled PET bottles for acoustic panels, and SPC flooring made from stone waste.
The inauguration ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp lighting and Shloka recitation, followed by an address from the architect, Nalin Goel.
Nakul Kamani, President of the school managing committee, delivered a motivational speech, underscoring the institution's commitment to excellence and its rich legacy in education spanning 100 years.
