Jewellers father-son beaten up in the outskirts of Bhopal

A jeweler father and son duo were beaten up by three youths and miscreants have taken away the gold chain, Lalariya police have started investigation.

 On complaining in the police station, the police is pressurizing victim to withdraw complaint. At the same time, the police is calling the incident suspicious. Police have said that they will register an FIR after investigation.

According to the information, Hrithik Sahu (22), lives in Kachhi Mohalla, Vidisha. Along with studying in B.Com final year, he also goes to the villages of the area in Berasia and sells gold jewellery on order. Fathers also do the same thing. On the evening of  April 22, Arjun was going to deliver the ordered jewelery on the instructions of Gufran Khan, resident of Khedi village. On the way, three youths riding in a jeep stopped them. Hrithik did not stop the car after which the three accused left. After this, the accused overtook and stopped them near the river.

Hrithik said that the accused slapped him snatched the gold chain. He ran towards a nearby field to save his life. The father kept calling for help. Meanwhile, people working in the brick kiln nearby came. By then the accused had already searched the bag and spotting the people coming, the accused ran away. During this, Hrithik recorded her video from his mobile. In this video, an accused is heard saying that we were checking the liquor in the bags.

Hrithik told that he was scared after the incident. He also had gold jewellery. So, he went home. After keeping the jewelery at home, he went to the nearest police station. The police told that the incident site is in Berasia, so a complaint will be registered there. By then it was night.

Hrithik says that the next day he reached Lalaria post to complain. There the police took the application and sent it away. Called the next day in the name of filing an FIR. Took application again the next day. Hrithik alleges that in the application taken the next day, the police wrote the events as per their own.

Meanwhile, an associate of the accused had come there and was asking to return the goods in exchange for withdrawal of complaint. The police also resigned and asked to hush up the matter. Hrithik had refused to withdraw. The case has not been registered yet.

SI Shambhu Singh Sengar of Lalaria police station told that Hrithik had come to the post on 23 April. His application has been received and is being investigated. The incident seems suspicious. The robbery has not been confirmed. The liquor contractor's people stopped him thinking he was a liquor smuggler. They wanted to check the bag he was carrying.

Berasia police station in-charge Narendra Kulaste said that there was a scuffle between both the sides. Hrithik had run away on the roadside with the bag. Earlier he had not given information to the police station regarding the theft of the chain from his neck. Came to file the report a day after the incident. Later it was told that the chain had been snatched. Investigation revealed that the liquor contractor's people had stopped both of them on suspicion of smuggling of illegal liquor. However, simply stopping someone and attempting to search his/her belongings is also a crime. The matter is being investigated. Will take action after investigation.
