Div Commissioner for strict ban on illegal sale, transportation of liquor

Indore Divisional Commissioner  Deepak Singh has given instructions in the meeting held through video conferencing  that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, illegal buying, selling, storage and transportation of liquor should be strictly banned.

The monitoring systems of the distillery should also be kept better. Flying squads should be kept active continuously. It should be ensured that there is no illegal buying, selling, storage or transportation of liquor anywhere. CCTV cameras should also be installed for monitoring. Divisional Commissioner  Singh joined the VC from Dhar.

In this meeting, Police Commissioner Indore  Rakesh Gupta, IG Rural Indore  Anurag, Additional Commissioner Commercial Tax  Rajni Singh along with DIG Rural Indore Nimish Agrawal and DIG Khargone, Collectors of the districts of the division, Superintendent of Police, Excise and GST divisional/district level officers participated.

In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner directed that elaborate arrangements should be made to conduct free and fair Lok Sabha elections in Indore division. It should be ensured that no one can tempt or influence the voters in any way during the elections. Voters should be able to vote boldly and without any inducement.

Monitoring systems should be kept vigilant. CCTV cameras should be installed at liquor shops, bottling plants and distilleries. Liquor shops should be inspected regularly. Special surveillance should be maintained on border areas. Divisional Commissioner  Deepak Singh said that special attention should be given to the districts of Dhar, Alirajpur and Jhabua etc of the division. Instructions were given in the meeting that garments, sarees etc. should not be stored without documents.

New vehicles should not be transported without bill. Bogus firms should be kept an eye on. All concerned departments should work in full coordination with the cooperation of the district administration. An SOP should also be issued for seizure and action against illegal material. Transportation and transactions of suspicious material should be monitored. On receiving the information, the concerned departments should ensure action with full coordination.

In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner took information from all the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police of the division regarding the actions being taken in the district against illegal liquor. All the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police gave information about the actions taken so far in their respective areas. It was told that special monitoring is being done on buying, selling, storage and transportation of illegal liquor in the division.

The action to confiscate illegal liquor is also being taken strictly. Divisional Commissioner  Deepak Singh expressed satisfaction over the actions being taken against illegal liquor in the division and also wished everyone the best for doing good work.

In the meeting, IG Indore Rural Range Anurag said that special attention should be paid to the transportation of illegal liquor in Dhar, Alirajpur and Jhabua districts. Along with big vehicles, intensive checking of small vehicles should also be done. Apart from the main route, checking should also be done on the surprise route. Along with this, warehouses should also be checked continuously. Work in coordination with the border districts.
