The injury, sustained by a young individual due to a fall from a height, involved multiple ligament tears in the knee. Another patient suffered from torn ligaments due to twisting of the knee joint.
In the surgical process for both patients, doctors utilized arthroscopic techniques. This method enabled physicians to access the injured area through small incisions and reconstruct various ligaments, facilitating a precise and effective treatment.
The primary objective of these surgeries was to safeguard a severe knee injury while also restoring the integrity of the knee's various ligaments. Given the intricate nature of the injuries, these operations posed a challenge to the medical team, as the injury site was highly constricted, affecting several ligaments and tendons.
The outcomes of these surgeries have been promising, with improvements observed in the patients' conditions. Consequently, residents of Bokaro will no longer need to travel to Ranchi or Kolkata for complex knee surgeries, as Bokaro General Hospital now offers excellent facilities for such procedures.
