Baluni giving false assurance to people of Garhwal: Congress

Thursday, 28 March 2024 | PNS | DEHRADUN

The chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Mehra Dasauni said that BJP’s candidate from Garhwal Lok Sabha Anil Baluni is giving false assurance to the public during the election campaign. She said that it is going to be 24 years since the formation of Uttarakhand but Baluni never properly settled in the State. He was made the national spokesperson and national media in-charge by BJP in 2014. He had been an MP since 2018 but despite having several opportunities and chances, he failed to do any significant work for the State. Dasauni said that Baluni and his family itself are a living example of migration but he is talking about stopping migration in the State. She said that it is ironic how Baluni has been promising people during the campaign that he will work to stop migration when he got his wife transferred from Haldwani to Delhi in 2018 when Trivendra Rawat was the chief minister. He never had to face any hardship that people here suffered every day but still, he is giving false assurances to do the work that he failed to do in the past several years.

It is ridiculous how he suddenly claims to be feeling the pain of people in Garhwal which is obviously just a show to win the elections, Dasauni said. She said that Baluni has always remained absent from the lives of these people and more than half of the people do not even know him. It clearly indicates that the people will choose the Congress candidate from Pauri Ganesh Godiyal who has always been among the people as a public servant, she added.
