Dayawati Injapuri, a 96-year-old voter of Maoist-affected Bijapur district, exercised her franchise for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh through postal ballot on Tuesday.
Postal ballot facilities are available to voters over 85 years of age, disabled voters and COVID-infected people.
There are a total of 82,476 voters over the age of 85 and 2,855 over the age of 100 in the state.
To avail this service, eligible voters will have to fill out Form 12D.
Chhattisgarh will see elections on April 19 and 26 and May 07. The results will be announced nationally on June 4.
