1500 employees applied for cancellation of Lok Sabha election duty in Bhopal

About 1500 government employees in Bhopal applied for cancellation of Lok Sabha election duty, out of these, duty of 1000 thousand employees was cancelled and at the same time, 500 applications were rejected.

Officials said that most of the employees whose applications were canceled had cited illness, but they were found to be fine during medical examination. For this reason duty was not cancelled.

Joint Collector Aditya Singh said that there were more applications due to serious illness, pregnancy and problems to handle younger children. They were examined. There were also 500 applications in which illness was mentioned, but the employees were found fit in the medical board. Therefore duty was not cancelled.

In the second training from April 25, employees are required to attend. Those employees whose duty has not been cancelled, will definitely have to come for the second training starting from April 25. If they do not come, action can be taken to suspend them.

Within 10 days, more than one and a half thousand applications were received for cancellation of election duty. Still some employees are arriving with applications, but their applications are not being accepted because training is going to take place from April 25.

It was found that 70 to 80 applications are from employees suffering from cancer. More than 100 applications have come from pregnant women who are unable to perform duty, 200 applications are from women employees who have small children.

In 700 applications, it was reported that he was suffering from other diseases including heart disease, 200 applications were received in which both husband and wife were in government jobs and both were on duty.

Some such applications have also been received, due to which all the employees of the department have been put on duty.

Applications from field employees of the Forest Department have also come.

A medical board was formed for those officers and employees who had cited health reasons for canceling their Lok Sabha election duty. Investigation was done at Jaypee Hospital. After this the district administration took the final decision regarding duty.
