The Government Ayurveda College in Raipur administered an immunity booster called Suvarnaprashan to a total of 1,410 children under the age of 16 on Tuesday.
The college holds camps for this on every Pushya Nakshatra date. A total of 4,357 children were given the medicine in the previous camps this year.
The medicine also protects children from respiratory diseases and boosts their concentration and memory, an official communiqué said.
The future camps are scheduled for May 13, June 10, July 8, August 3 and 30, September 26, October 24, November 20 and December 18.
