After winning the bypoll in Azamgarh, BJP leader Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday and promised to take the district on the path of progress under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was accompanied by Bhojpuri artiste Pravesh Lal Yadav and actor Amrapali Dubey.
They presented a statue of Lord Ram to Yogi. Later, talking to reporters, Nirahua said the CM asked him to do whatever required to take Azamgarh forward on the path of development. “Time is less and responsibilities are more. I will do whatever is required,” he said.
Hitting out at Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav, Nirahua said: “When the SP wins, EVMs are alright but when it loses, they blame it on EVMs.”
After meeting the CM, Nirahua also met BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh at the latter's residence. He then reached the BJP office in Lucknow and also met BJP secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal.
