IWCS bags 18 district awards
Inner Wheel Club Of Swarnrekha Ranchi (Charter No.6498 District 325) has emerged with flying colours in the District Awards Ceremony (Paritosh) held at Patna on July 25, 2022 for the Inner Wheel Year 2021-2022 . The Club has won 18 prestigious District Awards. IWCS Ranchi president Neeta Narayan said, “It is indeed a proud moment for each and every member of our club. This amazing victory calls for a grand celebration! I am overwhelmed with happiness & pride for this remarkable recognition of our sincere & earnest hard work by the stalwarts of District 325. I am grateful to God for this recognition and appreciation won by our IWC of Swarnrekha Ranchi. I am extremely grateful to all of you for all the support, cooperation and love. Friends, we have succeeded in carving a niche for our Club in the vast canvas of Inner Wheel. We have to continue adding Golden feathers to the shining cap of Inner Wheel Club Of Swarnrekha Ranchi.”
Cleanliness awareness programme by CMPDI
CMPDIL (HQ) on Monday organised an awareness program on 'Importance of’cleanliness’ at Badhu Panchayat, Kanke, Ranchi as part of Swachhta Pakhwada - 2022 celebrations. On this occasion, Cloth bags Sanitizers, masks and Saplings (Guava, Mahua, Bakain and Gulmohar) were distributed to approximately 100 residents of the village. Additionally Information, education and Communication (IEC) materials were distributed to the Panchayat Mukhiya Sunita Devi for further distribution and dissemination of information on Swachhta. Rameshwar Mahli, Ex-Mukhiya; Sunita Devi, Mukhiya; Mumtaz, Social worker were present from the village and Suman Rastogi, Chief Manager (P/ CSR Cell), CMPDIL( HQ) along with team and SK Ravi were a part of the programme.
3-day ToT under Jal Jeevan Mission
The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation in collaboration with UNICEF, has selected two district level coordinators/representatives and one district coordinator from the divisions/districts in which district coordinator has been appointed (An Assistant Engineer or Junior Engineer where the District Coordinator has not been appointed), for the State level 3-day residential training of trainers to be organised at Vishwa Auditorium, Kanke. The training was started on Monday at Vishwa Auditorium, Ranchi, located in Kanke, Dr. Neha Arora, IAS, Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of Jharkhand; Pranab Kumar Paul, Under Secretary, PMU, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of Jharkhand and Ajit Kumar Singh, Director Vishwa. A total of 52 participants are participating in this training. Apart from this, all the state level consultants/coordinators participated.
NHES student wins applause
On the occasion of World Environment Day a Photography Contest was held by the Indo British Scholars’ Association in collaboration with the British Deputy High Commission, Kolkata on 3rd June, 2022. In the junior age group, there were over 430 entries from across India. Wajahat Shamim, student of Narbheram Hansraj English School did the School proud by winning an award under Category; Habitats. The panel of Judges comprised eminent personalities – Yemi Odanye (British Deputy Head of Mission to Kolkata), Karuna Singh (Regional Director Asia, EARTHDAY.ORG) and Ashwika Kapur (National History Filmmaker, Chair Youth Council IBSA). The school principal, Paramita Roy Chaudhary, expressed her joy at the achievement and said, “Participating in extracurricular activities helps expose hidden talents in students and leads to all round development.”
