Urban Development Minister Usha Devi on Sunday sought cooperation of elected representatives and citizens to transform Silk City Brahmapur into a smart city.
While responding to a warm welcome to her by the Brahmapur Municipal Corporation, she said the State Government is striving to make cities citizen-friendly. She urged the citizens and people’s representatives to maintain cleanliness of their localities and ensure hygiene.
Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu and MLA Bikram Panda reiterated their commitment to convert the city into a smart one and thanked the Minister for her contributions towards developing the city’s landscape.
The Minister took stock of six projects and reviewed the progress of the Indoor Badminton Stadium near the Engineering School, the Rock Garden and the works undertaken for the beautification of the city.
