Two youths drowned while taking bath in the Chitrotpala river near Patkura in Kendrapada district on Friday. They were identified as Sharif Khan of Kendrapada and Basan Khan from Mumbai.
According to sources, Sharif and Basan had come t their relative’s house to attend a function. In the morning, they had gone to the river to take bath and unfortunately drowned.
As they did not return back, the family members started searching for them and found slip-ons and a soap case at the spot.
Later, they informed the Fire Services about the incident. Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from the river.
The bodies were sent to the Patkura Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), where doctors declared them dead.
