Cop found dead in his car in Keshav Puram

A 45-year-old Delhi Police Inspector was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his car on Saturday in Delhi's Keshav Puram area.

The victim has been identified as Vishal khanwalkar, a resident of Shalimar bagh. Khanwalkar was 1998 batch officer. He was posted at Delhi Police's Special Cell as an inspector.

According to a senior police official, a police control room (PCR) call was  received on Saturday at 4.20 pm regarding an unconscious person in a car at Rampura main road in Keshav Puram.

"After reaching the spot, the person was found lying unconscious inside his Honda Amaze car. He was rushed to BJRM hospital where he was declared dead," he said.

The enquiry, it was found that the car was parked in front of a shop in Rampura around 11 am and the victim was lying inside the vehicle," the senior police officer said.

The family has been informed and further investigation is in progress, he added.
