Water supply will be affected in parts of Delhi on Tuesday and Wednesday due to annual flushing programme of underground reservoirs and booster pumping stations, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) said in a statement on Monday.
The areas where water supply will be halted on Tuesday are Deer Park, Mahruli, Qutab, Kishan Garh, Green Park, Munirka, Malviya Nagar, RK Puram Sector-1, Avantika Enclave, Godavari Apptt., Punjabi Bagh, F-Block Sector-15 Rohini, Sarai Julena, Than Singh Nagar, Anand Parvat, Ramjas Society, Punjabi Busti Bapa Nagar, Ram Jas Tank Booster Pumping Station, Pocket A,B,C & D Mayur Vihar Phase-II, Geeta Colony, Laxmi Nagar, Ramesh Park, filling point at D-Block Janakpuri, Sector-6 Pocket-2 No1 Circular, Bindapur Block D Pocket no 3, Circular Tank, Mansa Ram Park, Kakrola, Dwarka and Matiyala.
The statement further said that the water supply will be affected on Wednesday in the areas of Vasant Lok, Deer Park, Qutab, Mahruli, Kishan Garh, Green Park, Munirka, Minirka, Malviya Nagar, Sarai Kalan Khan Village, Punjabi Bagh, Kakrola, Dwarka, Matiyala, Bindapur Block D Pkt.3, 1 no. Circular Tank, Kilokari, Sidharth Extension and adjoining areas, Nehru Place, Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Mangolpuri Filling point, G-7 Sector-15 Rohini, G-12 Sector-15 Rohini, Than Singh Nagar, Anand Parvat, Ramjas Society, Punjabi Busti Bapa Nagar, Ram Jas Tank Booster Pumping Station, Geeta Colony, Laxmi Nagar and Ramesh Park.
The board has also advised the residents to store sufficient water as per their requirement to avoid any inconvenience. Water tankers will be available to the residents on demand.
