Special camps to solve land disputes in districts

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sunil Kumar Barnwal today said that complaints relating to land dispute registered at the Jan Samvad Centre will be settled by putting camps in the districts. Such complaints have been received in large numbers from different districts. He said that nodal officers were instructed to organise camps in different districts at the level of Deputy Commissioner for immediate execution of such pending cases. Barnwal alongwithAdditional Secretary Ramakant Singh reviewed a total of 20 cases through video conferencing here on Tuesday.

Dozens of families displaced in 1951 and settled in Charidih Mauja, Koderma were not given ‘parcha’ of the entitlement on the land. On this, the Principal Secretary instructed the Nodal Officer to issue them land patta in the light of the guidelines issued by the Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department. On the complaint of many people of Sabar tribe in Bankisol panchayat and Kendua panchayat of Dumria division of East-Singhbhum district, that they were not given houses under Birsa Housing Scheme, the Rural Development Department official said that they did not have land and that is why houses could not be given. Work to provide them housing is being done and the work will be completed by the next financial year.

Shanti Gudia, Khunti was killed by militants on February 07, 2013. Even after government's declaration the dependent of the deceased did not get appointment. The nodal officer of the district informed that the appointment letter to his dependent daughter Sunita Gudia will be given in a week.

Pintu Mandal, Pakur died in a road accident on December 29, 2013 but till now his dependent wife Asha Devi has not been given compensation under National Family Benefit.  On this the additional secretary instructed the nodal officer to give compensation within a week. The Additional secretary directed the nodal officer of the district to provide drinking water facility before March, on the complaint of non-availability of drinking water for the students studying at Utkramit Middle School, Giridih.

Bhim Mahto working as assistant in JSC College for Women, Jamshedpur died during service in November 20, 1999. After that on December 18, 2003, his wife Shakuntala Mahato's acceptance of the job on compassion was done. However, till now her service has not been regularized. It was also revealed in the review that Shakuntala is currently working as a daily worker. The Principal Secretary summoned the department official in the next weekly review with the full report of the matter.

Ramphal Singh of Chatra had worked as a labourer in the forest plantation from April 2012 to March 2013 under the Southern Forest Division, Chata. In view of the non-payment of work, till now, the principle secretary instructed to keep the matter in the next Seedhi Baat Programme.
