Pandit Akhilesh Gundecha left the audience totally mesmerised as he gave a splendid performance along with his disciples at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.
The performance was held here on Sunday under Uttaradhikar series of classical performance.
He performed Pakhawaj Vrind with his four disciples Dnyaneshwar Deshmukh, Ramesh Chandra Joshi, Deepak Tiwari and Roman Das.
Pankhajwaj Vrind is a verse composed by Pandit Akhilesh Gundecha, which is a prayer for Lord Brahma.
Pandit Akhilesh Gundecha started with Jyotirling Paran composed by his Guru Raja Chhatrapati Singh.
Notably, Dhrupad is a dominant form of vocal music in northern India until the eighteenth century, when it was gradually overtaken by the lighter, more florid vocal style as ‘Khayal’ (literally, imagination).
Dhrupad is divided in two parts- the Alap, an extended melodic improvisation that explores the mood of Raga, and the Dhrupad or Dhamar – a composition set to distinct poetic text with Pakhawaj accompaniment.
Under this Jyotirling Paran, the words of Pakhawaj and 12 Jyotirling are greeted. After this, Pandit Akhilesh Gunde and his disciples presented Chautal on Pakhawaj.
Paused his presentation by presenting the ascendant under Chautala, Reala, Paran, Plain Chakkar Dar Parn, Paramyashi Chakradhar Paran, Kadali Chakrapar Parn and Dowaz Paran etc.
During the presentation Akhilesh Gundecha was accompanied by Dnyaneshwar Deshmukh, Ramesh Chandra Joshi, Roman Das and Deepak Tiwari on Pakhawaj, Atul Singh Gehawar at Harmonium, and Tanpura by Swaran Shankaran and Lucky Gusain.
The classical music lovers were enthralled to watch such youngsters performing so confidently and enthusiastically.
