Mukhya Mantri Sushen Sanjivani Yojana launched in 89 blocks: Min

Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Tulsiram Silavat has informed that the Mukhya Mantri Sushen Sanjivani Yojana is being launched in 89 notified blocks of 20 districts of the State. Also, final shape is being given to the State Government health investors’ policy andpharma policy.

While talking to media persons, Silavat said that the Right to Health Bill will be introduced in the winter session of the Legislative Assembly to give legal ‘Right to Health’ to the people of the state.

He said that efforts are being made to improve the inherited poor health system and make it people friendly. A drafting committee has been constituted to make right-to-health legal.

This committee is drafting the bill keeping in mind all practical, legal and administrative aspects. This bill will soon be presented to the Advisory Board.

Silavat said that the Advisory Board includes Public Health Expert Dr K Shrinath Redy (PHFI Chairperson), Dr K Sujata Rao, AK Shivkumar, Dr V Vijay Kumar (Director NLIU), Dr Vandana Gurnani (Additional Health Secretary, Government of India) and other experts.

Silavat has informed that the problem of shortage of doctors and staff associated with the hospital is being addressed on priority. So far, 600 contractual NHM practitioners, 1002 bonded practitioners and 547 PSC backlog practitioners have been appointed in the state. Direct recruitment of 100 retired doctors is under process.

As many as 1033 staff nurses have been appointed in the state and recruitment process of 760 staff nurses is in progress.

He informed that 1550 Community Health Officers have been appointed and the process of recruitment of 2019 ANM is in progress.

The Minister has said that Sanjeevani clinics will be opened in every ward of the metropolitan cities of the state. Also, 4366 contractual para-medical posts are being filled soon.

As many as 279 contractual homeopathy medical officers are also being appointed in NHM. Silavat said that 351 Contractual Ayurvedic Medical Officers and 80 contractual Unani Medical Officers are being recruited under NHM. He informed that 10,000 community health officers and 42 contractual dental surgeons will be recruited in the next two and a half year.

Silavat told that Shuddha ke liye Yuddha campaign is being run from July 19, 2019 to November 18, 2019 to make Madhya Pradesh an adulteration-free state. During the campaign, a total of 9283 samples of milk and other milk products, other food items and pan masala were collected for testing. So far, 94 FIRs have been filed against the adulterators and action has been taken under NSA against 32 traders.
