Lok Sabha polls: 198 nominations received from 142 candidates

Total 198 nominations have been received till date from 142 candidates for the 5th phase of Lok Sabha Election-2019 in the state. Similarly, 15 nominations have been filed in 2 days by 13 candidates for the 6th phase of election.

Seven parliamentary constituencies ie Tikamgarh (SC), Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad and Betul (ST) out of the 29 constituencies of the state have been included in the 5th phase. Similarly 8 parliamentary constituencies namely Morena, Bhind (SC), Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal and Rajgarh have been included in the 6th phase.

For the fifth phase of election, after the election notification ie April 10 till date, 22 nominations of 19 candidates in Tikamgarh parliamentary constituency, 31 from 18 candidates in Damoh, 29 from 25 in Khajuraho, 39 from 25 in Satna, 32 from 26 in Rewa, 31 from 18 in

Hoshangabad and 14 from 11 candidates in Betul have been received.

On the 6th day of filing nomination, total 104 nomination forms have been filed by 75 candidates on Thursday. This include 13 from 10 candidates in Tikamgarh, 19 from 11 in Damoh, 22 from 19 in Khajuraho, 13 from 9 in Satna, 16 from 13 in Rewa, 16 from 10 in Hoshangabad and 5 from 3 candidates in Betul.

For the election of sixth phase, on the second day 10 nomination forms have been filed by 8 candidates today. This include 2 nomination forms of one candidate in Morena parliamentary constituency, 3 from 2 in Gwalior, One each from one candidate each in Guna, Vidisha and Bhopal and 2 from 2 candidates in Rajgarh parliamentary constituency. During the initial 2 days, 15 nomination forms have been filed by 13 candidates for 8 parliamentary constituencies’ election under the 6th phase.
