Heavy rain, snowfall likely at isolated places

The State Meteorological Centre has forecast the possibility of heavy rainfall and snowfall at isolated places located in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Nainital, and Pithoragarh districts on January 22. There is also a possibility of hail which may be experienced in some places of districts including Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar on the same day.

The overall weather for the state on Monday is going to be generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain and snow is likely at most of the places of the state.

For the provisional state capital, the meteorologial centre has forecast a generally cloudy sky on Monday.

There is also a possibility of thunder cloud development and light rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 23 degree Celsius and 10 degree Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various towns of the state on Sunday were 25.4 degree Celsius and 9.6 degree Celsius in Dehradun, 23.4 degree Celsius and 5.6 degree Celsius in Pantnagar, 18 degree Celsius and 4.4 degree Celsius in Mukteshwar, 17 degree Celsius and 7.4 degree Celsius in New Tehri respectively.
