Contract killer held before targeting leader

With the arrest of a gangster, the sleuths of Delhi Police Crime Branch have solved 11 cases of murder, various cases of robberies, rape, attempt to murder and car jacking of luxury vehicles registered in Delhi and Haryana. Police disclosed that the gangster had also taken contract to kill a political leader in Nagaland after 2019 General Elections were over.

The gangster identified as Vijay Farmana, a resident of Sonipat in Haryana, had committed triple murders in Haryana. The Delhi Police and Haryana Police have declared a reward of Rs 50 thousand each for providing information that could lead to the arrest of dreaded gangster who murdered people for money.

According to Dr Rajiv Ranjan, the Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime branch, since last many months, luxury vehicles were being robbed after kidnapping the driver at gun point and driver was thrown away on highways after looting the vehicles.

“A police team was formed and investigation was taken up. Specific inputs were received regarding the accused and his movement was tracked at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Police team swung into action and accused was nabbed when he was sitting with his girlfriend at a Mall in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area,” said the Additional CP.

“During interrogation the accused disclosed of committing triple murders and total 11 murders, attempt to murder in Haryana,” said the additional CP.

“The accused further disclosed that he alongwith his associates, are members of the syndicate involved in car jackings wherein he along with his associates have robbed various high end SUVs including Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Innova Crysta, Hyundai Creta from Vasant Kunj Mall,

Saket Mall, Vasant Vihar in Gurgaon, Indira Gandhi I airport and on National Highways,” said the Additonal CP adding that they used to dispose-off all luxury vehicles in North East and Nepal.
