Wednesday, 26 June 2019 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

Taking a big leap forward, the Marra Higher Secondary School in Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s home constituency Patan will get a digital makeover.

The CM will inaugurate a smart class and smart lab project there in a grand function of state-level Shala Pravesh Utsav on Wednesday.

It would be the first school in the state which would get a major facelift. Gradually the project will be introduced in other schools of the state in several phases.

Official sources informed that on this occasion, the CM will also launch Total Education and Management System (TEAMS) software, which will make the office work of the schools in the state paperless. Attendance, scholarships, uniform and other paper work would be digitalized so that teachers of schools in the state get ample time to devote to academic activities, sources said. During Shala Pravesh Utsav, the CM would welcome the students of the school by applying ‘Tilak’ to them and will also eat mid-day meal with them during the day-long stay with them.

The CM will also plant saplings and would enjoy the sports activities, including Taekwondo and cricket, in the school campus.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Gaurav Dwivedi, Durg District Collector Ankit Anand, Superintendent of Police Prakhar Pandey and senior officials of school education department on Tuesday inspected the Marra School and took note of the preparations.
