BJP think tank eyes young voters in urban pockets

With the launch of latest report on Anti-Satellite (ASAT), BJP think tank Public Policy Research (PPRC)  is aiming to attract new age voters in urban pockets of the nation.

 According to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies are gaining momentum on “Nationalism” talks across India. Launching the monologue  This is how BJP walks the talk, titled “Anti- Satellite Weapons and India’s Mission Shakti”, said a BJP leader citing how the party has set a target to attract 1.9 first time young voters this time.

“In our analysis, we have found that people are participating in PM Modi’s rallies because PM speaks about achievements in Defence sectors , be it related to Pulwama or retaliation in Balakot or successful launch of ASAT, the new India is different. Poeples’ participation in the rallies being addressed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has increased by 2.4 times as he speaks on Nationalism which has established a chord with the masses’, said a senior BJP leader who is part of the party think tank.

Citing India’s achievements on space weaponization, BJP leader Dr Sumeet Bhasin said that India has more than 50 operational satellites with 19 Earth Observation Satellites in Low Earth Orbit. “This monograph is also released with detailed information on India’s MISSION SHAKTI - launch of India’s first anti-satellite missile system. The report gives a lucid explanation of the significance of the ASAT missile in the defence regime of India,” said Bhasin, adding, “Demonstration of our ASAT capability, placed our nation at the high table of space powers and also provides new aspect to the deterrence matrix. Now India can influence international cooperation of peaceful use of ASAT capabilities.” Releasing another monologue on economic domain, Dr Bhasin along with his researchers, mentioned that  in the economic domain, it was found that BJP rid the nation from corruption and black money. “While some initiatives tackled corruption, like Government e Marketplace place which received over 24,211 crore worth orders, and 99.54percent  of income tax returns were processed automatically with zero human interface. Other initiatives like demonetisation and insolvency code worked effectively to clean the economy of black money,” said Dr Bhasin.  Commenting on Jobs, he also said further the government has been successful in creating over 15 million jobs per annum based on data from sources like ESIC, EPFO, NPS and Atal Pension Yojana. In addition game-changing measures like GST, reining in inflation, and focus on both social and physical infrastructure have been successful in boosting the economy, Bhasin added. “Demonstration of our ASAT capability, placed our nation at the high table of space powers and also provides new aspect to the deterrence matrix.
