3 charred to death after their cars collide

Three persons were charred to death while two were injured after an Omni van and Ecosport  collided with each other near Anand Vihar flyover in Delhi, said poice on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Shamshad (28) resident of Mustafabad, Abdul both of them were sitting inside Omni whereas the third person Garve Sehgal (30), the resident of Krishna Nagar was sitting in Ecosports.

According to Meghna Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Police  (DCP), Shadhara district, they received the information about the incident around 6-6.15 pm after which police team rushed to the spot.

"Two cars including Omni and Ecosport are involved in the incident. The vehicles are completely burnt. Initial probe suggests that Ecsports hit Omni by jumping from the opposite direction of the carriageway. Soon after the collision the fire took place and gutted the vehicles giving no time to escape, " said the DCP. "So far there is no idea from which place they were coming. Two persons are still receiving treatment and one is very critical admitted to the local hospital," said the DCP

The fire department of Delhi also sends two fire tenders at the spot. Police official privy to investigation said that paaserby had informed police regarding the incident.
