A Children’s Literature Festival will be organised in city. The fest will be organised by Swami Vivekananda Library and Stories and Beyond on November 17 and 18.
There will be events to be organised for the school students from four-years old to 14 years old. In this fest, three different categories have been created. Junior Readers for kids of 4 - 6 years, Middle Readers for children of 7 - 10 years, Senior readers for children of 11 - 14 years old. Swami Vivekananda Library Manager Yatish Bhatele said that keeping in mind the growing distance from books in children, together with Swami Vivekananda Library, Stories and Beyond, is going to organize a Children's Literary Festival on November 17 and 18. In this age of gadgets, maintaining children's reading habit has become a challenge and in this library can play an important role.
This festival will be organised for two days, which will be conducted by the subject's experts. For junior readers (4 to 6 years) from 11:00 to 12 am Japanese folk tales will be presented by Amita Sarkar.
It will be followed with a workshop for arts and crafts in Japan. Information about the prevailing arts and their techniques will be given in Japan. This will be done by the famous commercial artist of Pune, Prerna. On the second day Roald Dahl's Rhymes by Yasmin Anwar will be presented. This will be followed by Poetry for the Youngsters by Rakhi Singh. This will be followed with Cenio Readers for 11 -14 years.
