The agriculture and animal husbandry Minister of Jharkhand Randhir Kumar Singh called on the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at the latter’s residence on Monday. Though termed as a courtesy meeting, it is learnt that they have discussed several issues related to agriculture and animal husbandry.
It is, further, learnt that on behalf of the Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Dass, the agriculture minister invited the CM, Rawat, to participate in the two-day Agriculture Summit scheduled to start in Ranchi on November 29. The CM is learnt to have expressed his happiness over such events- meant to speed progress of the farmers-being hosted in Jharkhand. He is said to have told the Minister from Jharkhand that more and more such events should be held to ensure that the farmers across the country are benefited. The CM also said that the country’s all-round development warrants progress of the farming community.
The Minister from Jharkhand apprised the CM Rawat of the steps the State Government has taken to speed up the development of the agriculturists. The CM, Rawat, too apprised the Minister of the moves the State Government here has initiated to double the income of the peasants in tune with the Centre’s policy.
