As a part of special campaign against those involved in drug peddling, CIA staff of Haryana Police have seized 200 gram heroin from a car in district Sirsa and arrested three persons in this connection. The value of the seized drug in the market is estimated to lakh of rupees, said a spokesman of Police Department.
During blockade at begu area in Sirsa, a team of CIA signaled a Skoda car to stop for checking.
On seeing police team, when driver of car tried to flee away, the team nabbed all the accused in the car and recovered 200 grams of heroin from their possession, he said.
He said that the arrested accused have been identified as Sube Singh, Dharmavir and Vinod. A case under NDPS Act has been registered against them.
During preliminary interrogation, accused confessed that they had brought this heroin from Delhi. All would be taken on remand by producing them in the court so that name of others involved in this racket of drug peddling could be unearthed, the spokesman dded.
