POWERGRID enters in term Loan facility

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has entered into a Term Loan facility agreement for JPY 22 Billionwith Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Singapore Branch(SMBC), towards part financing of its capital expenditure for its on-going and new projects and renovation and modernisation of its stations. The facility has door to door maturity of 12 years and is on floating rate interest basis linked to JPYLIBOR.

Bain & company named as best place to work list

Bain & Company is once again number one on Glassdoor’s 2019 Best Places to Work list. The firm has earned the most number one rankings in the history of the annual list, topping the charts on four separate occasions. Bain has now made the list eleven consecutive times.

2k women to go to haj without mehram: Min

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday said here that a large number of Muslim women are likely to go to Haj 2019 without ‘Mehram’ (male companion). During a meeting in New Delhi with representatives of organisations associated with Haj in various states, Naqvi said that more than 2000 women have applied yet to go to Haj 2019 without “Mehram”. This number is expected to increase further.

CRPF Public School celebrates 30th Anniversary

Addressing the students of the CRPF Public School, Rohini, at its 30th Annual Day function yesterday, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, DG, CRPF and the Chief Guest of the occasion said that the school has been promoting well-grounded education while subsuming extra-curricular activities. Sounding a word of caution to the students and the parents, Bhatnagar said that all concerned must guard against the lure of the digital world.

AAI Women Wing launches Menstrual Hygiene Project

Airports Authority of India Women’s Welfare Association of Kalyanmayee formally launched the Sanitary Napkin Usage and Menstrual Hygiene Project on 5th December, 2018. Started earlier this year, the three-year project includes installation of Sanitary Napkins Vending Machines & Incinerators in schools in 20 cities across the country having AAI Airports and awareness camps in the slum areas. Some of them being Amritsar, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Trivandrum and Mangalore.

CISF organises Curtain Raiser function

A curtain raiser function for the 67th All India Police Athletics Championship-2018 was organised at CISF HQrs, New Delhi. The function was presided over by Alok Kumar Pateria, IPS, Addl. DG, CISF HQrs. PT Usha, renowned Indian Athlete, known as ‘Queen of Indian track and field’, Dutee Chand, winner of silver medals in 100 mtrs and 200 mtrs in Asiad-2018 and Shakti Singh, silver medallist in Shot Put in Asiad-1988 and Bronze medallist in Asiad- 2002, were the guests on the occasion of the Curtain Raiser.

Bis, iec organise smart city standardisation event

To give thrust to standardisation activities in the area of Smart cities, BIS and IEC are jointly organising an International Conference on ‘Smart city standardisation’ with the theme “Smart Standards Smarter Cities”, along the sidelines of the 4th plenary and working group meetings of IEC Systems Committee (SyC) Smart cities during 9-14 Dec 2018. The event is being organised by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). Leading national and international standardisation and Smart city experts from more than 20 countries are expected to participate in the conference.
