Pakistan must crackdown on terror groups like the leT or handover terrorists to international tribunals for trials so that justice is served, an influential US lawmaker has said.
“Pakistan needs to crackdown on groups like the leT, close down those campuses as well. Pakistan needs to understand that if they are not going to bring perpetrators of the terrorist attacks to justice they should turn them over to The Hague so that they can be tried in international tribunals and justice can be served,” Congressman Ed Royce said yesterday.
The Chairman of powerful House Foreign Relations Committee was speaking at an event hosted by Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi-based think-tank, at the US Capitol here.
He also said that Pakistan needs to be serious about closing down 600 Deobandi madrassas in the country.
