At least 31 militants were killed and eight others injured on Wednesday when fighter jets of Pakistan air force targeted their hideouts in northwestern tribal region, officials said.
The air strikes were launched in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency which is one of seven semi-autonomous tribal regions.
A military official said that two hideouts were destroyed in the precision attacks. “The attack also killed 15 militants while eight more were injured,” he said.
The attack coincided with militants killing three policemen in suburbs of provincial capital Peshawar which borders with Khyber Agency.
