Road blocks will be put in place in Karachi on Wednesday night to prevent any New Year celebrations from taking place.The road blocks will be erected in the evening and the Sindh Government has decided to deploy 7,000 policemen all over the city, Dawn online reported.
The decision to ban New Year celebrations was announced earlier this month by Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui.“The country’s current security situation also does not warrant New Year celebrations,” Siddiqui said.
