At least 100 ethnic Hindus on Wednesday gathered here demanding action against an Islamic preacher for allegedly insulting their religion by telling Muslims not to buy curry powder products from what he deemed as “Hindu” companies. The protest was organised by Malaysia’s largest ethnic Indian political party, the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) and several other NGOs.
