Bobby Jindal, the Indian-American Governor of louisiana, escaped unhurt after his sport utility vehicle was sideswiped by a large rental truck while he was returning home from his son’s soccer game in Baton Rouge on Sunday.
“The Governor did not sustain any injuries, and he is thankful for the work of the louisiana State Police who keep him and his family safe every day,” his office said in a statement. It blamed the accident on an “illegal u-turn” made by the rental vehicle and said the crash was under investigation.
