Israel’s Defense Ministry says it has dismissed a senior official for a “serious information security breach.” Yair Ramati headed the ministry’s missile-defence programme, a position he held for four years.
It gave no further details, but defence officials said he had kept sensitive information on his personal computer. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to the media.
