leaders of India, Bangladesh and Iran have sent greetings to Brunei’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on its 32nd National Day on February 23, the media reported on Sunday.
Indian President Pranab Mukherjee extended warm greetings to the Sultan and the people of Brunei Darussalam on its National Day. The message, issued via the High Commission of India in Brunei, said Mukherjee has conveyed to the Sultan that India and Brunei have long enjoyed close ties of friendship and cooperation. In a statement issued through the High Commission of Bangladesh in Brunei, President Abdul Hamid said Bangladesh and Brunei share a time-tested relationship and both the countries nurture a shared commitment to peace, and development both bilaterally and regionally, Xinhua reported.
