Stepping up pressure on the Nawaz Sharif Government, lawmakers of Imran Khan’s party in the Punjab province Assembly resigned on Wednesday.
Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) member Mehmoodur Rashid along with 28 other party members handed their resignations from the House to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat. Of the 31 PTI members, 29 submitted their resignations on the direction of their leader Khan who has said his party men will not sit in the assemblies which are the product of massive rigging.
