Hillary 'thinking about' 2016 presidential run

Days after Republican Jeb Bush indicated that he would decide by the year-end on whether to run for President in 2016, Hillary Clinton has said that she’s “thinking about” taking another shot at it.

This is probably the farthest she has gone thus far while fielding periodic questions on the subject, even though most Americans believe that she is sure to run again. “I am flattered and I am honored and I am thinking about it, but I’m going to continue to think about it,” Clinton replied when asked at an event in San Francisco on Tuesday.

Although Clinton did not seem to have given away much with that remark, media watchers contrasted it with her earlier comment on the subject. CNN noted that in January, Clinton had told an audience in New Orleans that she was “not thinking about” 2016 and was trying to get other people not to think about it.

Clinton, who was in San Francisco to address The Marketing Nation Summit, said the reason she is still thinking about it is because she is enjoying her life right now. “I am not going to make a decision for a while because, you know, I am actually enjoying my life. I am actually having fun doing ordinary things like seeing my friends and going on long walks and playing with our dogs… At the end of the day, it is what really gives joy and meaning to your life,” she commented without providing a definitive answer, quipping: “I danced around that pretty well, didn’t IIJ”
