Pro-Palestine rally in Pak: 7 killed in blast
Islamabad: At least seven people were killed and 13 others injured when a bomb exploded during a pro-Palestine rally in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province on Friday, officials said. The rally was taken out to express solidarity with the people of Palestine, which over the last 11 days has been involved in a tense confrontation with Israel that has led to the death of over 240 people, and threatened to destabilise the volatile Mideast.
Nawaz Sharif’s land in Pakistan auctioned
Lahore: Over 11 acres of land owned by Pakistan's deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been auctioned for PKR 112 million in the Punjab province of the country on the court's order. The Islamabad High Court had declared PML-N supreme leader Sharif a proclaimed offender in September, 2020 due to his failure to join the Toshakhana – gift repository – case.
Hizb ut-Tahrir operative arrested in Bangladesh
Dhaka: Bangladesh police have arrested a 30-year-old operative of the banned Hizb ut-Tahrir militant organisation for alleged terrorism related offences according to a media report on Friday.
