China will remove visa-like entry permit requirements for the residents of Taiwan from next month as part of its policy to facilitate cross-Strait personnel exchange, reports said today.
According to the revised regulations, which will come into effect from July 1, Taiwan residents still need a travel pass to visit the mainland, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. The mainland expects the new measure to benefit cross-Strait exchanges and pull people from both sides closer, said Ma Xiaoguang.
