Michael Bloomberg, a far bigger billionaire than Donald Trump, has confirmed that he is considering his own White House run as an independent.
In an interview to Financial Times, the multi-billionaire media mogul and former New York City mayor has said he’s “looking at all the options”.
Significantly, Bloomberg has criticized the ongoing presidential race, commenting: “I find the level of discourse and discussion distressingly banal and an outrage and an insult to the voters.”
Without identifying the candidates whose campaigns he finds banal, the 73-year-old Bloomberg said: “I’m listening to what candidates are saying and what the primary voters appear to be doing.”
Bloomberg’s comment that the American people deserved “a lot better” comes in the midst of a fiercely acrimonious race being waged both on the Republican and Democratic sides with the New Hampshire primary getting into stride.
