Even as the State Government on Friday submitted its final report on the losses sustained due to drought, another farmer succumbed to his suicide attempt on the day allegedly due to debt burden and drought-related crop loss.
The deceased farmer was identified as Prasanna Sahu of Mangalpur village in Dhenkanal district, reports said.
Prasanna had consumed poison on Thursday and was shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack. He succumbed to his attempt at the hospital in Friday.
