The important aspect of Home Expo India is the confirmation from large number of top buyers, buying houses, import houses, chain stores, boutique owners and interior decorators all over the world. The need for organising the expo was felt during the visits of overseas buyers to IHGF in the past when they expressed the desire of visiting product segmented specialised trade shows rather than general shows covering all product categories. This led to the setting up of Home Expo India making the same a wholesome show that a ‘home total’ tag attached to it. “Having given shape to the idea called Home Expo India, EPCH’s publicity and promotional activities have been aggressively pursued at prime trade shows in the select markets abroad,”he said.

The EPCH will lay special focus on specialties of select regions of India at this show. In this direction, there will be separate pavilion of products from North East region, which is known for producing abundant quantity and variety of cane and bamboo , beside silk and other fabrics. Their craftsmanship is simple yet has a uniqueness of its own. Therefore, the handicrafts of the region acquires their own characteristics and importance. The display at the expo will consist of home accessories and furnishing, fabrics, textiles, gifts, trimmings and embellishments et al, will also be displayed.

Another important aspect of the expo is the thematic display of handicraft products developed by artisans of SC category and crafts person from mega clusters lucknow, Bareilly and Bhuj. These artisans have been working in the clusters which have not been tapped up due to lack of exposure. The objective of this thematic exhibition is to explore international markets for their products and to have the opportunity of interacting directly with the overseas buyers. They will be displaying housewares, decoratives, gifts,  candles, incense sticks, home textiles, furnishing, floor coverings, fashion jewellery, accessories and bags made from cane and bamboo et al. Home Expo India 2015 is expected to generate great business deals for direct import as also for tie-ups, collaborations, alliances and joint ventures for product development, product innovation and international sales.
