Fairtalk - Salman Khan
‘As a child, I was difficult for my parents to handle. Very difficult, still. Actually, I don’t know what went wrong while I was growing up that I was thrown out of a school. I was in fourth grade and then highly recommended into another school. From there, they requested my earlier school to take me back. So then I came back and passed out from there.’
Dailytalk - Vaani Kapoor
‘It was important that I play the role of a trans-woman in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui with utmost purity, sincerity and sensitivity. The love I’m receiving for the film from the community, audience and even critics is overwhleming. I hope I have played a part in starting a conversation about equality. I have taken it slow by choice to pick films that help me showcase my talent. So, I feel hugely validated today.’
Tom has the best of both worlds
Actor Tom Felton, famous for his role as Malfoy in Harry Potter, recently shared, “I get the best of both worlds. I take the Tube, the bus, I walk my dog in the park. I saw Emma Watson the other night – she looks exactly as she did ten years ago. It’s impossible for her not to be spotted. I get a lot of people whispering, ‘Is that whatshisname?'”
He added, “It can really affect you. I try to do my best. We don’t have too many examples, bearing in mind that when we did it 20 years ago, obviously when there were no social media.”
