Content is always first: Sohum shah
Actor-producer Sohum Shah insists content has always been his priority over box office collections. “Content is always first. How to make a film, all that comes secondary. You write a script, select a director and then you look for others to come on board. I don't make films for profit, neither do I want to make packages to earn money. I only make films which I enjoy making,” he said.
He added that box office numbers are relevant in terms of understanding how many people liked the film.
Fairtalk - Tisca Chopra
‘What's Up With Me? is a book that talks about everything around puberty from a girl's perspective. It is her guide and friend in her journey through periods, acne, developing breasts, buying bras, sanitary napkins, her changing moods, relationship with her friends, boys, parents and the emotional and physical changes that her body and psyche go through.’
Dailytalk - Amit Sadh
‘Someone very important in my life taught me there is nothing like a flop. People will continue watching (the film) at some point in time. A film is a collective creative expression of the people involved, right from spot boy, technician, art directors, stylists, designers, actors, producers, directors, assistants and more.
‘Acting, to me, is a paid hobby’
Actor Anthony Hopkins said being a part of showbiz is like having a paid hobby.
“I'm not a method actor. I can't sit in the corner thinking I'm a plant or anything like that. I get a cup of tea or a cup of coffee and say, ‘Good morning'. Some people want to make a big deal of it. I can't. I've got a life of my own and acting to me is a hobby, a paid hobby, but I enjoy it,” Hopkins said.
He added that he has always tried to tell young actors about how distorted fame and stardom are.
