‘Dolly Kitty is raw, real and rebellious’
Actor Bhumi Pednekar claims the reason she agreed to take up her role in the forthcoming film, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitaare, is because it needs guts to essay a part like this.
Bhumi, who plays the role of Kitty in the film, said, “The reason I did this film is because it needs guts to do a part like this. It is a very unconventional part for a mainstream Hindi film heroine and that’s what attracted me. It is raw, real, rebellious and honest.”
The film is slated for a digital release on September 18.
‘The landmark judgement on Section 377 has been pioneering for all of us and led to significant changes in driving our acceptance. While it has been welcoming so far, the larger social battle is yet to be won and that will only happen if we, as a community strive together for a positive impact. MTV Beats’ Love Duet is a good effort in that direction.’

Hollywood projects lack diversity: Tate
Actor Tate Donovan, who is best known for his role of Jimmy Cooper in the drama series, The OC, says most Hollywood projects lack diversity.
In an interview, Donovan opened up about his career as an actor, director and voice artist in the West, and shared his views on the lack of diversity in Hollywood.
“Most of Hollywood lacks diversity. It’s one of the big problems. We really need to change. It’s ridiculous. It has been since the beginning of my career. It’s embarrassing to see just white men on the set,” he said, accepting the hit sitcom Friends, too, lacked diversity.
