‘Time to come together and help’

Actress Richa Chadha said that the Coronavirus pandemic is bringing out the best and the worst in people. She feels that it's the time to come together and help.

“You have people who are going out of their way to provide for needy animals and human beings, and then there are some people who are using this as an opportunity to treat the poor badly,” Richa added.

She cited the example of the 3,000 stranded migrants at Bandra station. She said, “The migrants gathered in Bandra and Surat. People are criticising them that there could be community transmission. But these people are helpless and do not have means to get home. This is the time to come together and help. I really hope people make behavioural changes now.”

‘There are some jobs in which one can’t work every day. Acting is one of them. My career span is not of 20 years. I can keep acting even at 80. Look at other senior actors — Mr Amitabh Bachchan is an example. At his age, he is unstoppable. I think the career of a performer just continues. And hence, I do not want to rush.’

Mark lost Blue Valentine to Ryan

Actor Mark Ruffalo has revealed that he lost the lead role in 2010 film Blue Valentine to actor Ryan Gosling.

Ruffalo said Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance tried and failed to cast him in Blue Valentine in a role eventually played by Ryan Gosling.

Ruffalo opened up about losing the role while talking about his new HBO mini-series I Know This Much Is True, which is directed by Cianfrance.

He got Cianfrance on board to write and direct all six episodes saying that his “rough and holy” style would be “an ideal fit” for the blue-collar story based on the eponymous novel by Wally Lamb.
