Katrina is a mazdoor: Hrithik

Actor Hrithik Roshan has called Katrina Kaif a mazdoor (labourer) as a “well-intentioned compliment” but she takes it as an “insult.” Social media is lapping it all up, if Twitter trends are to go by.

“This is something that I've always told Katrina, which she kind of takes as an insult, but I mean it as an incredibly well-intentioned compliment. I regard Katrina as a mazdoor. She is a worker and she is one of the best labourers and workers that I've ever come across,” Hrithik said.

Elaborating on her working style, he shared, “Deep inside she is a mazdoor. She just happens to be beautiful and hot. Having said that, she is super-talented, it becomes very easy for her and me to work with her.”

‘I am 44 years old and India knows me now. Better late than never. I have faced the same struggles that any actor faces. My difficulties were no different than the others. I come from a non-filmy background and I am a small village boy, so the challenges were a little more. I think that is organic and I have no complaints, because that happens in every field and not just in acting. In every profession, it takes time to make a name.’

Actress Vaani Kapoor sustained several bruises while she was shooting for the song Ghungroo from the forthcoming film War.

“I think my body endured a lot during rehearsals and the shoot. It was physically demanding and extremely challenging with swing pole and Cyr wheel section of the dance but all the sweat and bruises were definitely worth it as it gave me the opportunity to pull off something entirely new.  But I am happy and grateful that my performance is being loved,” she said.

Will to adapt Brilliance

Hollywood star Will Smith and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, who worked together on projects such as I Am Legend and I, Robot, are teaming up again for another sci-fi property, which will be an adaptation of the novel Brilliance.

The duo are in early stages of adaptation of Marcus Sakey's book Brilliance published in 2013, which is about a world in which one per cent of the population has been born with special powers since 1980.

Smith would play federal agent Nick Cooper, who is tasked with keeping tab on individuals with special powers, known as the ‘Brilliants’. Cooper has special powers himself: The ability to read body language so well that he can predict people's moves.
