Priyanka’s film to premiere at TIFF
The film The Sky Is Pink is selected for a worldwide premiere at the 44th Toronto International Film Festival on September 13. It is the only Asian film to be selected for a Gala premiere in 2019.
Directed by Shonali Bose, the film stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
Priyanka said, “I connected with the film’s story from the minute I heard it. It’s been crafted into a moving, beautiful film that will renew our faith in love and life. It’s what led me to take on the challenging role of Aditi Chaudhary.”

One of the fan clubs of actor Ranveer Singh, titled Ranveer ka fan club, active since 2015, was formed by a fan named Aamir Ali from Indore.
The club has dedicated their lives to do voluntary work in the name of Ranveer. Each year they spread joy in orphanages and villages on Ranveer’s birthday and recently they have started a program called ‘Ranveer Gram Program.’
“In a village called Akaloli, they installed five solar street and house lights each. The villagers have been using kerosene lamps for more than a decade now and cannot afford electricity,” said Ali.
Homecoming has a new lead
Actress Janelle Monae replaces Oscar-winning Julia Roberts in the second season of Homecoming.
In the critically-acclaimed Amazon original series Homecoming Season 2, Monae, the actress-singer-songwriter-activist, will essay a tenacious woman who finds herself floating in a canoe with no memory of how she got there or who she is.
It is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Universal Content Productions.
The first season of Homecoming followed the life of case worker-turned-waitress Heidi Bergman (Roberts) as she struggles to remember her time working at a facility that treats soldiers returning from war.
